1. Agility is open to all those who have one or more sporting dogs of any breed.
2. The sport consists of the dogs, led by their guide, overcoming various obstacles demonstrating their intelligence, obedience, concentration, sociability and agility.
3. This discipline requires good harmony between the dog and handler.
4. It is therefore necessary that the participants possess the basic foundations of good training in obedience and dog training.
5. Agility can be practiced leisurely or competitively. There are three categories: small, medium and large according to the size of dog.
6. When practiced leisurely both the owner and the dog enjoy the sport together by being physically active, sharing emotions and gaining incomparable education and obedience.
7. Agility is an ideal method for training a dog in education, obedience and sociability.
8. In competition, the results are completely objective (whether the dog commits faults or not) and are directly correlated to the amount of effort and training completed.
9. The purpose of the course is to make the dog, led by its guide, pass through the array of obstacles in the listed order with minimal penalties and within the SCT (Standard Course Time limit set by the Judge).
10. The obstacles change after each round in order to avoid any 'mechanization' by the dog.
